Privacy
This page says what we know about you when you visit, which is very little, and on purpose. Last updated August 24, 2026.
Reading the site
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it tells us how many people came and which pages they read, and nothing about who anyone is. We set no tracking cookies, run no ad trackers, and collect no personal information from readers. You can read every page here without telling us anything.
The site is served by Cloudflare, whose systems handle standard technical logs (the kind every web server sees, such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and keep the site working. We don't use those logs to identify anyone. Cloudflare's own handling of that data is described in their privacy policy.
Writing to us
If you email us, we'll have your address and whatever you wrote — that's the nature of a letter. We keep it to reply and for our own records, we don't add you to anything, and we never sell or share it.
What's ahead
There's no newsletter yet. When there is one, it will be strictly opt-in: you'd give us your email on purpose, we'd use it only to send the thing you asked for, and every note would carry a working unsubscribe link. This page will be updated before that launches, and before anything else changes about what we collect.
Questions
Write to admin@cottageathome.com and ask. If you'd like whatever we hold about you deleted — for most readers that's nothing, and for correspondents it's the emails themselves — say so and we'll do it.
